For smaller high school or charter schools in our area looking for a venue to host their proms, we have the perfect venue. We are flexible and will work with vendors of all kinds. On April 17, 2010, Werth Manor Event Center hosted Ft. Lupton’s High School’s Prom. They had approximately 175 guests and was able to decorate minimally and making the venue look festive and elegant.

We have also had the pleasure to host Adams City High School’s Prom for the last two years and have the privilege to host this year’s prom also. The venue is just beautiful when the ballroom lights are off and the trees in the ballroom are lit, the trees out front, the trees in the courtyard and the gazebo are all lit. It’s breaktaking! All at a reasonable price.

Douglas Colony Group, a roofing company that has spent the past 27 years in Commerce City, was presented the Small Business Award for 2009.

Formerly Douglas Roofing, the business was one of the five finalists for the award, which is presented by the City of Commerce City. The other finalists were local businesses Colorgraphics Inc., Davita Commerce City Dialysis, Alpine Waste and Recycling and Werth Manor Event Center.

Along with its local headquarters, Douglas Colony Grop also has offices in Greeley, Colorado Springs and Glenwood Springs. Having its headquarters in Commerce City is one of the reasons the business has been successful, according to owner Robert Bechtholdt.
